    Hello! Welcome to the Weekly Customization Thread (a.k.a Trendy Thursdays), this is where you can request help to customize one of your pets, and anyone who wants to help can reply to them.

    Also, if you have any general question about NC, or what petpet goes with your pet, etc, feel free to ask here too!

    Rules:

    To ask for help on a customization, you need to provide the following information:

    • Species.

    • Colour.

    • Gender.

    • Name of the pet. (Not necessary, but it might help get a better understanding of a theme)

    • Theme, if you have any.

    • Limitations on wearables, if you can only use NP, or you can also use some NC.

    • If you are able to cross-paint your pet.

    format is not necessary to copy, also if you have a half-finished custom you don't have to provide the info :)

    To help make customizations, please try to follow these simple guidelines:

    • Include a link to the customization. (Using DTI or JN's Wardrobe)

    • Try to include a brief summary of why you customized like that. (Not necessary but it can help!)

    • If you use expensive NC items, make sure to find other items to replace them (if the user can't afford them).

    • You can reply to anyone who needs help, you can't take dibs on one user.

    • You can also reply to other customizations offered to do constructive criticism or offer modifications. (Remember to be nice.)

    • If the customization you reply with is not yours, please give credit to the creator.

    One Thousand Lost Desert Scratchcards and One Lunatic - The Results

    I'm flairing this up as "Humor" because holy smoking Faerieland, scratching 1,000 scratchcards was a pain in the wrist-

    So back in May of 2019, I decided that I wanted to gather up 1,000 scratchcards from one particular booth to figure out the odds of obtaining certain scratchcards and rewards. I began with the Lost Desert Scratchcard Kiosk, because it had the longest "cooldown" before we could purchase another scratchcard from this kiosk. It was balanced out with the fact that we could scratch as many LD scratchcards as we wanted.

    For this project, I abstained from accepting scratchcards from friends, and buying any scratchcards from user shops (only exception was when a RE stole one, which did happen to a Scorched Treasure scratchcard). Without further ado, here are the results!

    This table contains the odds of one obtaining a particular scratchcard from the LD Kiosk. Granted, I did not obtain any Sandstravaganza scratchcard during this ordeal.

    So if I total up the value of everything I have obtained from those cards, the total NP value of everything I had obtained (and hypothetically sold) from these cards would be 3,220,620 NP.

    tl;dr This lunatic spent 500k on buy 1k scratchcards from the Lost Desert Scratchcard Kiosk and scratched them all for the sake of stats. If he had sold the scratchcards as they are, he would've gotten 2,046,350 NP. If he had sold the rewards from these scratchcards instead, he would've gotten 3,220,620 NP.

    Disclaimer: Given the RNG-heavy nature of Neopets, my findings do not fully represent what one will encounter should they attempt to collect and scratch 1,000 scratchcards from one particular kiosk. This post should give you guys a rough idea what you could get, but take it with a pinch of salt, please. It's also for laughs at the extent I would go for the sake of numbers and tables.

    Due to the disappointing official neopets.com customization spotlight, and potentially spurred on by the ridiculous Q+A answer about how TNT find its winners, the NC chat board created their own customization contest!

    I see some very lovely outfits posted here often, so I thought I would share, and I hope to see some of you in the entry pool to vote on!

    I am not the creator, or connected to the contest other than a fan of the concept. This week is the very first round, entering this round ends tomorrow, just before midnight to saturday, so you still have a day and half to find an outfit to enter!

    Y'all gonna hate me because you've been working the algorithm like maniacs since day 1 but I've been experimenting a bit to see if I can maximize my gains. (My bets on my account are 5500 right now)

    I do a max bet on every single 13:1

    I do 1 max bet on a 3 group of 2:1s (8:1) based off the food clubs analysis by you guys

    And 1 max bet on a (4:1) that uses none of the 2:1s from before

    On average I spend 35-40k per go. My returns have been between 20k-120k a round

    If a single 13:1 goes through I make bank, and usually at least the 4:1 or the 8:1 goes through so I get something back.

    If every week I spend 300k

    I usually win 3-5 13:1s 5-7 4:1s and 2-3 8:1s

    Using the lowest possible I get 180k+100k+80k = 360k (if I have a bad week)

    The best case scenario I receive 300k+ 140k+120k = 560k

    So I'm getting 60k-250k+ profit a week

    If I only do the analysis and bet an 8:1 and a 4:1 not using any of the same I'd spend 80k a week and probably receive between 160-200k a week for a profit of 80-120k most likely guarantee

    My question is do you feel like you do better high rolling or sticking to strictly bets on the analysis every day?

    I like to believe this works the most optimal Because of turtle racing mentality. You bet the 5 turtle and you always make money eventually.

    Peedleedoo/Crazy Rare Petpets Question

    Is it possible to get a Peedleedoo from the Petpet Lab Ray? I know the PPLR can change your Petpet into "any" species but I've never seen ultra valuable and ultra rare petpets zapped - Pooka, Flippy, Blorbis, Marafin, Xampher etc. in 2 years the rarest I've seen is Kads, Rocks and Pofews. It was an unpainted TCG Item Code Prize from 19 years ago in 2005 with the Curse of Maraqua plot.

    Peedles are going for a square 1 Billion NP these days so the chance of someone like me getting one who isn't in the elite Neopets Illuminati is by an astronomically lucky zap but I'm wondering if even that is possible.

    I kind of want to be thorough so if the answer is yes, any proof or pictures would be great.

    *edit* I was kindly PM'd a pair of pets who have one from a zap and now I'm filled with hope that not only can you get Peedleedoos but also I guess any of the Curse of Maraqua Petpets. Thank you!
