    So after hearing horror stories abt the tier 1 capsules i was nervous but i got one cause i had only that amount of points left. I opened it and ended up getting a 1.5 mil morphing potion. Dont know if the rare item ratio has changed but damn im happy lol

    Analysis of Average Cost of Jhudoras Quests

    I did a little analysis of average cost of Jhudoras Quests (only the 21 r99 quests)

    There are a total of 1841 r99 items. I use JellyNeo's database for prices. For inflated items, I take the inflated prices, since you're probably not going to waste time haggling.

    In the table is a threshold item price above which you won't purchase the item and you'll reset the quest run. The number of Items and average cost per item below the threshold is shown. P Item is the probability you get a valid item for a quest. Cost per run is the average cost before you reach an item that makes you reset the run. P Success is the probability you complete all quests. Total runs is the expected number of times to go through the quest line before completing all 21 of them. Total cost is the expected np for all those runs.

    For reference, Wand of Dark Faerie is being sold for about 40m

    Assumptions of the Calculations:

    • If an item is unpriced on Jellyneo it's too rare to obtain on time: This is probably generally true.

    • All trades are 100% success: This assumption is probably false. In reality probability of success is MUCH lower. If you have a huge r99 collection, then that is equivalent to 100% trade success.

    • Jellyneo prices are accurate: Even if there are many pricing errors, the price distribution is probably generally true, therefore average prices should be accurate

    Conclusion: Expected return is positive, but it's small. Limit yourself to 10m per item for best returns. Prepare to spend over 40m before success. It's only really worth it if you can reliably obtain items (so better start a r99 collection)

    By the way, for Illusen's quests the best threshold is 7.5m and the average total cost is 20.6m. So it might be the case that Illusen is more profitable but I'm not up to date on I-staff prices.

    But hey, these are just statistics. You might get lucky!

    Frozen Account Retrieval Help

    I was referred to this subreddit by a friend, to ask help about a... specific situation in retrieving a frozen account. I played actively from 2009-2011 and have plenty of information (and screenshots) to prove that I'm the owner of the account, so I'm not /super/ worried on that front, but...

    When there were no moderators on the Neoboards on 06/29/15, I participated a bit in the chaos. I don't think I swore at all, I was personally keeping it reasonable, the most I did was interact with some people (I might've given off-site account information/shared my tumblr with other people), but it's not like I remember it that clearly anymore. My account was frozen around this time, and I think it's likely I was caught up in a mass-freeze of people who were talking during that time.

    Does anyone have advice on how to explain this in the support email I'm sending to regain my account? And if I did swear/do something against the rules (which, again, I'm not sure I did), what are the chances of getting my account back then?
