    This is a weekly thread to ask those questions that might have been bugging you for a while but you don't feel they need their own topic, or to get answers you suddenly realize you have a burning need for. Whether it be Battledome, Account Help, etc. don't be embarrassed of your curiosity.

    Hi all! 90's kid and former years-long Neopets addict here. I recently logged back into my account out of nostalgia, and was somewhat surprised and saddened to see how dead the site seems to be these days. It was such a thriving community back in the day! I loved it so much.

    But then I found this subreddit and I'm scrolling through and thinking... maybe people ARE still playing?

    My question: what's your Neopets story? When did you start/stop/start up again?

    If you're still an active player, how "alive" would you say the website is? How many players are still active? I'm so curious!

    I finally reached 200 avatars so want to give back to people. I will list what I can lend and then a few rules. Also, be patient! I'm not on reddit often so if I don't get back to you within a few hours don't panic I will eventually

    I've seen some posts about stolen accounts and trying to get them back, some successfully some not, but I feel like my case is a little unusual because my stolen account has been in use by someone, like right now today, and not just cleared out. It's definitely 100% my account, not just like it was purged and someone else made a new account with the username. It was a pretty nice account, some UC pets (now gone from the account), a decent assortment of trophies, some nice items, and my guess is that the person using it probably bought it? (although they claim to be 29 years old and wtf kind of adult does that)

    I don't know if it's worth trying to get this account back. I found out about a year ago when my kid wanted to play Neopets, and at the time I just thought "Wow, that sucks, who would do something like that?" I didn't care too much because I had no desire to play again. But now that I am playing again, I kind of care.

    Some barriers, other than looking like I'm trying to get someone else's really nice account since I'm now on a former side and basically started from scratch, are that I no longer have access to what I'm pretty sure was the email I used with that account and I'm not 100% sure I even know what email it was (I used to have a lot of them for various things). Also, I can give some information about the account from before - I made it in 2007 and played pretty regularly for a couple years, and then again for a little while in 2011, so it was stolen sometime after that. But of course the account is now active so all of the information will have changed and I don't know if anything I still remember is even useful now.

    I'm honestly kind of vindictively wondering if maybe if I bring this stuff up, they'll at least freeze the account, like maybe if the info I give can be verified and that would put the account in question and iirc they are really freeze-happy about anything vaguely suspicious. I don't know if I would want it back now anyway, because the person using it has been active, clearly has been lent some very pricey avatars, has been logging in regularly, they've gotten a couple new trophies and participated in events I wasn't around for, etc. So if I get it back, anyone who knows this new person is going to think that I stole it, or something, and I don't know, it's just super tainted now. I've been waffling on whether or not to do anything or just let them enjoy their stolen, negative karma Neopets game.

    Not sure why I'm posting this. What would you do? Is it worth making a ticket and dumping everything I know about the account from 2007-2011? (I don't know when this new person started using it.) Would there be any repercussions to my current account? Do I even care if there would be? (lol rhetorical for me, if I get frozen or whatever for trying to get my old stolen account back, I'm absolutely done with neopets for good)

    Help? I can't use spacebar during games...

    I don't know if anyone on here can help me out, but every time I try to use my spacebar to play the games, it won't work. I can use the arrows just fine, just not the spacebar. I'm on a MacBook pro (circa 2015) and the web browser I use it safari. Any suggestions?

    **EDIT** Found that if you hold "right click", then you can use spacebar... -_-

    I recently found my Neopets username that I made about 10 years ago. However, I did forget password and it didn't work. I also tried contacting them but haven't gotten much help. Is there a way to recover my account?
