I used to be super active, and I've tried coming back off and on for the last few years. Coming back to it now, it feels... soulless. I'm new to this reddit, but do other people have that sense? I miss the neopets of old, partly for nostalgia reasons but also because it felt more personal and less like a product. Motivated by this, I've been tinkering on a hobby project for a few months, a modern neopets-inspired site. I'm a software engineer by trade, and my wife is a graphic designer. Is there anyone out there interested in this sort of project? A free, no-garbage (no ads, no microtransactions, community focused) pet game? I want to gauge if there is a critical mass of community that would join a site like this, and in I'm search of developers.
