    If you have Chrome: get Tampermonkey to use it! Greasemonkey for Firefox, and I'm unsure about other browsers.

    The site is in shambles. The redesign has gone live, with a lot of the site not ready, the games room is desolate, with the ones that HAVE been HTML5 converted being completely butchered.

    the battledome is still a broken mess, the staff is almost nowhere to be found, and we're left in the dark.

    TNT has honestly dropped the ball. Either they've massively understaffed themselves for this, have bitten off more work than they can chew... or they've given up.

    Between 2010 and 2014 I wrote a series of Christmas articles called "The Top Ten Best and Worst Toys for your Neopet". I remember the exact moment in 2010 when I received a NeoMail telling me my article had gotten into the Christmas edition of the NT, and that I'd won a Plushie Paintbrush. As you can imagine, thirteen-year-old me couldn't contain herself. Not only was I in possession of a VERY expensive paintbrush, but the editors had liked MY writing enough to publish it! I was so proud of myself. Creative Writing has always been my passion, but it was Neopets that truly gave me the confidence to share my work with a wider audience.

    Now I'm 23 with a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing. When I was studying, if ever I was afraid to share something I'd written because I didn't think it was good enough, I'd always think back to when I was a shy little thirteen-year-old who submitted an article to the Neopian Times, eager to please, and got published. If she could do it, I can do it. That line of thinking helped me get through many a dark day.

    I guess the reason I'm sharing this with you guys is because I don't think you ever truly grasp the significance of something until it's passed you by. Back in 2010, nobody said to me "getting this silly article published will help you grow as a person". Yet here we are. Thank you, Neopets.

    What would you like to see in a new Neopets land?

    Pretty straightforward question, I think! The last new neopets land we got was Moltara, which added a lovely steampunk and magma aesthetic option to the site. What sort of environments and aesthetics do you think should be added?

    I personally would love to see an old west/cowboy inspired land, with the main map being more of a gathering of nomadic wagons as opposed to an actual city- most settlements would be few and far flung. Heck, maybe even different shops would show up/leave depending on the time of day! It would be really cool!

    What would you all like to see?

    Beta layout's barren map pages were making me inordinately sad, so I slapped together a quick userscript that adds simple clickable maps back to world pages that got wooshed.

    (I think I got most pages, but there could be some I missed.)

    Also, all of the map images and link mappings are originally from Jellyneo, so credit goes to them for the actual preservation work!

    How to keep playing Flash games

    I spent the last two days trying to figure out how to keep playing flash games and I found a solution! :) Thought I'd share.

    I found this website that has step-by step-directions: http://andkon.com/arcade/faq.php

    Also, in case anything happens to the website, here's the directions with links to everything you need:

    1. Download and install the Pale Moon browser (64-bit). (NOTE - directions say to download 32-bit version, but Neopets works better with the 64 bit version)
    2. If you have old versions of Flash on your computer, uninstall them
    3. Download and install the last version of Flash (32.0.0.371) without the disabling timer. Select "Never check for updates" during the installation process.
    4. Restart Pale Moon.

    And that's it! It's working perfectly for me. Flash doesn't run quite as smoothly as it did on Chrome, but it works perfectly well enough.

    What are the mini Usul items in Neopets called?

    I am going crazy trying to remember what they are called. They had little Usul dolls, and also separate items to dress the dolls up with. >_<

    I remember there was a Karate type kit, and a mermaid one. I keep trying to search, but I'm clearly using the wrong keywords.

    so....what do you guys now do on Neopets?

    The whole beta and post-flash debacle has me at a serious loss for things to do in Neopets. The stuff that draws me to Neopets are all currently gone. The games no longer work, so I can't chase trophies anymore or just have fun playing them, neohomes are down, so no more decorating, customizing is super janky and I hate not being able to see everything I put on my neopets, the shop wizard no longer allows refreshing for bargain deals so collecting items is a pain, and so much of the site is now unavailable because of the death of flash. It just feels like there's nothing to do anymore.

    My question's in the title - now that so many features are gone, what are you guys still doing? Could you suggest things for me to do?

    Just wanted to share, because I don't have any friends who appreciate Neo, lol.
    I have some super nerdy lore about my six main pets, essentially that each one is an elemental god. Don't worry about it, I'm really cool.
    Anyway it's taken me MONTHS to finish because I don't know how to draw armor and kept putting it off but they're finally done!

    Is anyone else seriously confused about the new scoring system for the games on beta? Like I got pretty far through the rounds on Rink Runner but when I sent my score it was somehow only 4? And I sent an earlier score when I didn't do as well and that was 7? I just don't get wtf is going on or how to play them anymore. :'(

    Is anyone else getting a little concerned?

    It's been quite a while since the beta became permanent and as far as I'm aware there has been no official communication regarding that change from TNT. Things are still very broken, including customization for a lot of people, and they're promoting new NC items?

    I'm seeing a lot of speculation on the beta board that there is something else going on behind the scenes like layoffs or resignations, but I don't really buy into that. I just find the total lack of communication post-transition really weird and kind of unsettling. I don't really care about the whole beta vs. classic thing, but I dunno... I'm seeing a lot of really unhappy users (more than I think we saw back with the original layout transition because now we are all adults paying real money for premium/NC items that are not working for many...) and that worries me for the health and longevity of the site.

    Any thoughts on the topic?
