    If you have Chrome: get Tampermonkey to use it! Greasemonkey for Firefox, and I'm unsure about other browsers.

    I've been playing Neopets since I was very young. I love the adrenaline it gives me as if I was a kid again.

    Our roommate's young daughter was asking questions about the game. She watched me type out a three page essay for a desert draik. I gave details about how I would care for it, made up the requirement of a fan story and drew a picture.

    She said, " This is just sad and pathetic."

    That was the best burn ever! My friends still laugh about it to this to day. Sure, I'm an adult spending hours on acquiring cartoon pixels. It is a bit goofy when you look at the big picture, but it gives me a feeling like no other. It's nostalgic and has distracted me when things weren't going too well in the real world.

    The graphics aren't perfect. It has a bunch of ads, and requires a ridiculous amount of time. You can probably get banned for any reason. But for some reason, something about it is addictive, lovely, and reels me back in. It's forever my game.

    Neopets has officially removed the word "g*psy" from all items!

    As per the latest beta release,

    "The Gypsy Camp has been renamed to The Wanderer Camp, and items including the term gypsy have been renamed."

    This is a welcome change, imo -- I hope they do something about the "native" items soon.

    Hello! I'm one of your resident veterans returned to the site, played for like 3 years after joining in 2004, just came back. I've decided that I'm going to try for the Wand of the Dark Faerie, which has been an item I've wanted since I first met Jhudora.

    This is basically a holy grail weapon of sorts, since it looks like a Sailor Moon wand, and I am going to try my darnedest to please her and reach level 50.

    So far, 11 rounds done. Here's to hoping after all these years Jhudora recognizes me and asks for cheap r99 items. I am a little poor.

    I recently recovered my 7 and 13 year old accounts! Which to make my main?

    I'm so happy! I tried so many times before to guess the right birthday and tonight it just seems I had a stroke of luck and guessed the right year. I'm so happy as well that I got my very first account!

    Now I have a predicament - should I continue to use my 16 month old account as my main? I have about 600K NP worth of stocks, some trophies, and other collectables in it. But of course I could definitely earn a lot of money from Food Club on my 13 year old account. I did some transferring already to my newest account but when I think about it I'm not sure anymore...

    Could you guys help me out with this?

    unusually high number of ads being blocked?

    i logged into my neopets account for the first time in ages because i was curious to see how the site looked after the death of flash. the whole site is super laggy for me, and i noticed that adblock is working overtime - 18,595 (!!!!) ads have been blocked on my current page. this ONLY happens on the neopets site.

    when i googled this issue, i found someone who encountered a similar issue on youtube, but it was determined that adblock "will add the number of ads to the original number (when you first entered in youtube) every video clicked ==> add other ads to that number." i thought that might be the case for neopets but the numbers of ads vary pretty wildly instead of increasing with every page click.

    has anyone else had this issue? does this sound like an adblock issue, rather than a neopets issue? is there any other reason the neopets site runs so slowly for me? tbh i have pretty low expectations for the site's functionality, especially during this transition away from flash, but it definitely seems like something is.... not working here. i'm using google chrome + adblock (free version) + i regularly run malwarebytes.

    Ok so I finally got onto the caption contest after many years on this site.

    Question: How do you get people to vote for you? I have the link in my neo sig but all the boards are spammed with other people with cc in their sigs. I have no friends on neo so I'm not gonna win via popularity contest :(
