    100 NeoCola Tokens Results - Round 1

    100 NeoCola Tokens Results - Round 1

    On May 1, I decided that instead of selling those neocola tokens, I would use them. Before this, I've never used the neocola tokens and I didn't know what to expect. I set a simple parameter - once I hit a total of 100 tokens of all colors (not 100 of each color) and record what I received.

    Today was that day; I got my 100th neocola token, stopped beating on Jetsam Ace, and went to drop these bad boys in the machine.

    Here's the fun facts:

    • It took me 46 days of stomping on Jetsam Ace on Easy to accumulate this many tokens. Average 2 per day. However, yesterday I received like 8 neocola tokens, no nerkmids or codestones, so that's kinda a bummer. I only received 1 codestone today.
    • It took me about 20 minutes to burn through them.
    • I didn't record how many individual colors I received, but will do it the next round.
    • I didn't record the order of operations, but I don't think it matters unless I'm missing something.
    • I received all the "exclusive prizes" according the the list from JellyNeo except for Dastardly Evil Fuzzle .
    • Baby Space Fungus was the only petpet I received, I don't know if Robot Petpets are in the prize pool anymore or they have just a lower percentage of dropping.
    • Super Energy Blast Drink dropped the most at 12, then Plastic Sloth Ring at 11, then Kredulan Grundo Slippers at 10.
    • Virtupets Brand Doomsday Device dropped once.
    • I started at 333,618np, and ended up with 343,139. I made 9,521np. If I sold them, I would assume I would net at least 40,000.
    • I got a Kau Transmogrification Potion, so that made me feel better.

    Overall, I think I got beginner's luck. I think it's probably better to sell your neocola tokens in the long run for time efficiency sake. Regardless, I'm going to try this again, but I'm going to collect 100 individual tokens to see if statistically prizes skew to a certain color (probably not).

    TLDR: Long winded way to humble brag that I got a Kau Transmogrification Potion.

    20 years ago...and now I'm back again

    Well, I've been lurking on this subreddit for a few days and I think it's about time I made my own post, since what better community to share all this nostalgia with. :) I'm sorry in advance that this is going to be TL;DR, I won't blame anyone for not wanting to read all of my ramblings haha. I just felt like sharing them somewhere.

    I created my first Neopets account back in 2000. I was 13 at the time, and it was my first notable experience with the internet back then. It was such a formative site for me, I spent most of my teen years immersed in the joys of this little digital world, forming online friendships (a few which have even lasted to this day!) and having a nice escape from the real world.

    Time passed, and while I remained passionate about my pets, the revamp of the site in 2007 sadly diminished some of that enthusiasm. I was heartbroken by most of the new pet artwork and how much personality and detail was lost from the originals. The dress-up and customization aspect really didn't appeal to me much, and I began to lose interest.

    I popped back in every so often to check on my pets, because I'd spent so much time developing them and caring about them. I had years of artwork, adoptables, backstories for them...they were practically fully fleshed out characters in my mind. I was very sentimental about them even if I wasn't actively playing anymore.

    A couple years passed and there was a rash of account break-ins that I became aware of. I had some desirable unconverted pets, and it unfortunately made my accounts a target. I found out someone had gained access of them and sold/traded away most of my pets. I was devastated. I spent a long time dealing with TNT support and they actually managed to get back a lot of what was lost. I was so grateful, and I played for a while after that just out of sheer relief of having them back.

    I didn't stay active for very long though, and soon became inactive again. This would last for...almost a decade really. Until now. The news of an upcoming mobile site, seeing Neopets popping back up on my social media feeds last week, left me stunned and I felt the pull to come back again.

    Well, after a decade of being dormant, I should have expected the worst. My accounts appeared to all be frozen, my pets mostly scattered to the wind. I didn't have any expectations of getting them back this time, not after 10 years. I was fully prepared to start fresh and see where it would lead to.

    But lo and behold, I contacted support anyways, and I was absolutely thrilled when they not only gave me access to my original account (19 ½ year badge baby!!!), but also helped me get my side accounts too. Shoutout to Tony for working with me to get that all back, I appreciate it more than words can say. A lot of my pets were gone, but I still had some of the important ones, and my years of trophies, avatars, and history.

    Anyways, I guess all I really wanted to say here was how happy I am to find an active community after all this time. I'm looking forward to rebuilding and getting back into the swing of things. I don't know how long this will last for me but I'm going to make an effort not to abandon my accounts again. I've worked too hard to recover them - twice now - and I'm trying to see if any of the users out there who ended up with some of my illegitimately traded pets are willing to consider parting with them. I've actually already had luck with one, so there's still good people out there!

    My Loki has a new petpet :D The PPL inspires me, (found the Royal Razumi perfect to be Scar a few months ago) and the last PPL winner I thought was better fit to be Loki's Fenrir, the mutant version because Fenrir was (in Thor Ragnarok) awakened from the dead..

    Petpet Paint Brush Question

    Hi! I just got a pirate baby fireball during my dailies today, and I want to paint him with a snow pppb, but when I go to do it, it says there are no pbs for him. I checked though, and the snow pppb should work on him! Anyone know why it isn't or have any helpful suggestions?

    Got my old account back! Now have a question on main/side accounts

    I can't believe it but I just got back my 15 year old account, the first one I ever made! Props to me for remembering the random made up birthday and email I had used as an elementary kid!

    I do have a question on some things to see if anyone knows if its okay or not. I have my main account I've been using for the last 9 years that I would prefer to stay on main as its far more fleshed out, but I've gotten into food club lately and a 15 year old account makes way more than a 9 year old account.

    Do I have to make the 15 old account my main just to play foodclub? can I essentially do all my neopoint making things like dailies, etc. on my 15 year old account as my "main" but then use my current 9 year old main on neoboards and stuff?

    Would love to hear what others who have gotten back old accounts have done :)

    Is there anyway to avoid having to put in your Zip/Postal code to change your account settings? Obviously I'm not too comfortable putting that kind of information when it is unnecessary, especially on a website as outdated as Neopets lol
