    Does anyone else feel like they go on neopets more when they’re unhappy in real life?

    I mean.. hear me out. I know that lots of people play for fun and I hope most neopians are happy, but personally I find that when I'm CONSTANTLY on neopets or checking it to the point where I'm almost obsessed, it's a good sign that I'm unhappy with my life at the moment. I noticed this because when I was truly happy and doing things I loved (eg. travelling) I did check neo but logged in and out- didn't see a reason to stay at all.

    It's like I go back to neopets time and time again because it doesn't require much effort to understand everything, even when I'm mentally exhausted, so it provides a good distraction. Another theory is that maybe I feel better about myself, like I'm somehow more productive because I have all these stupid accomplishments on there. Also because I can keep things exactly how I want them, there's a sense of control I guess?

    However, it's slowly making me unhappy because I find myself feeling upset when I'm not able to achieve something like (previously) trade for an UC or (currently) secure a good NC trade. Then I start to wonder whether I've been unhappy all along and neopets is just an extension of that (probably). I'm thinking of taking a break if it starts to affect me more than it should, though.

    I'm posting this because I wonder if any of you feel the same way or have noticed this about yourselves? I've seen many people talk about their life struggles on neo, so wanted to hear some thoughts on this if you have any to share. I also hope this is not too negative or anything, it's difficult for me to be vulnerable tbh but there is nowhere else I can share these thoughts haha. Please be kind!

    Edit: I did not mean neopets itself makes me unhappy! I mean I realized it only does because I'm probably already unhappy and every little thing starts to upset me etc. yet I keep playing because it's the only thing I have, like a bad cycle. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not blaming the site D: (though I would say people who were rude did make me feel worse)

    First time drawing a Neopet in over ten years ^_^

    Over ten years ago, I spent HOURS every single day sketching my neopets.

    I stopped shortly after starting high school due to embarrassment.

    COVID and general growth as a person has helped me come back to something I absolutely love.

    I'm not *thrilled* with how this turned out (rusty and rushed) but overall I feel really proud! I wish I had never stopped practicing but I'm excited to get back in the groove. I may even enter an the art contest for the first time!

    Just wanted to celebrate and also to ask — what sort of image hosting sites to people use to upload their art on their pages nowadays?

    My (21F) bf (21m) wants be to leave neopets

    Uh is this allowed here? Ever since lockdown started i began to play neopets much more often, got into NC and overall spent a lot of time online. I would show my bf and family my customs, tell them about the game and overall just talked about it. It's a hobby i thoroughly enjoy so you can understand the extent in which i speak about it.

    Anyway, at one point my bf began to act strange, rude even every time i told him about an achievement of mine in the game (generally my achievements, i've noticed he kinda gets jealous abt) which made me happy. After a couple times of him just being rude or ignoring me, he also told me it pissed him off that i posted so much into a neopets fb group and followed by "you should just leave the game" to which i scoffed. He KNOWS how neopets has helped with my depression (i deal with dysthimia and anxiety), making goals even in a game has overall kept me stress-free and happy even. Specially when im by myself 18/24 hours a day. After just pointing out the obvious, that the game made me good and gave him a giggle, he turned serious and stated that he really wanted me to leave the game.

    I'm so confused on what to do? he's jealous of a GAME? In which i consistently try to involve him in while i also give him attention at any given time.

    EDIT: thank you so much for all the replies so far! I just wanted to add that we dont live together, and i'm the one who is constantly showering them with attention so that's why the whole situation just didn't sit right with me. I'm taking everyone's advice and i will figure out what is about neo that bothers him, although i already have the idea that it's mostly related to said fb group i'm in and if that's the case then i've made my mind regarding some outcomes after we've discussed it. Thank you all so much again!

    Where can I get a pirate themed petpet?

    I'm a returning player from my youth and unlike child me I want to take the game seriously and invest a lot of time into my pets. I eventually plan on trying to get a Pirate Paintbrush for my Shoyru and am currently looking for a nice pirate themed petpet for him. What are the best options? Is there somewhere I can find a list?

    Gift Box Capsules

    Does anyone know when Gift Box Capsules will be back in the NC shop? I'm new to trading and didn't realize they were only stocked periodically. I've been trading my ass off for a Quaint Seat on the Moon wearable and have finally found someone who is willing to trade it for GBC but I have none. I'm not sure how long they'd be willing to wait. Any idea how much longer before more GBCs? I can't believe I'm this close to making the trade I want... yet so far away!

    User lookup: ***** on the TC

    What's up with all of these young accounts being mourned for being frozen on the TC? Were these people likely cheating or just really good at the game? How does one get multiple SUAPs in just a few months? I always thought it was kind of suspicious, but then again I'm a pretty middling Neopets player compared to the TC billionaires. Also sidenote I am generally baffled by the culture on the TC aside from the RSing board lol

    Is the wheel of extravagance worth using?

    I'm not exactly a moneymaker by any means. I've sat comfortably between one and two million NPs for awhile. Got lucky once and hit like 4 mil! Which was crazy! Then used it on custom stuff for a pet.

    I see the wheel of extravagance and know there's an avatar associated with it. But as for the other rewards- are they worth the risk? I tried it for a few days this week. Got nothing twice, a nerkmid, and the 100,001 slot once. Do people do this as a daily, and should I keep it up? Thanks for any answers! Please stay safe and hydrated!

    So, the other day I received a faerie quest from Kaia, asking for my "Premium Collectible: Vine Veiled Well". I went to the NC Mall to purchase the pink gift bag, and also bought the "Girly Mechanical Wings" since they were already in my cart.

    I went and completed the quest and today noticed that the Premium Collectible: Vine Veiled Well is still in my inventory, while the Girly Mechanical Wings are not (they are not in my closet either).

    I've sent in a ticket already, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue?
