    If you have Chrome: get Tampermonkey to use it! Greasemonkey for Firefox, and I'm unsure about other browsers.

    Neopets App Games ideas that would work better than Island Builders - a short essay

    So I was watching Pet Simmer Julie's new video on Island Builders and I couldn't agree more with her when she talks about how the apps that the Neopets team created over the years never really tie in with the existing world and lore on the website.

    First of all, I'm not trying to shit over TNT, and I do recognize and appreciate the efforts they're making with Island Builders. Like Julie said in her video, it's nice to see that they're developing new things on the side.

    But let's be honest: Legends and Letters and Ghoul Catchers were pretty boring to begin with. They're not much different than the site flash games, as they don't really have a story line guiding you forward. And although Island Builder looks nice so far, it doesn't feel connected to the real thing since it doens't include any neopets cannon.

    So I got to thinking and came up with a few ideas of neopets app games that I would love to see and that, in my opinion, would make more sense than Island Builders. Here they are:

    Plushie Tycoon: I mentioned this idea on a comment on Julie's video. I think Plushie Tycoon would translate beautifully into an app game. I've played it a couple of times and the thing that never makes me come back is the fact that I don't get to see the plushies being made, that I don't get to personally decorate and upgrade my shop in a visual way, and that all my hard work "goes away" in the end of the month and if I wanna play again I have to start from scratch. With an app game, they could make you see your workers making the plushies (like you see the buildings being built on Island Builders). They could make you decorate and organize a real looking store (maybe like Neohomes). And they could make you keep improving your factory and shop so you don't have to start from scratch every month.

    Habitarium: I mean, HELLO? This was the perfect on-going game that could easily become an app. I think I don't have to say no more.

    A Clash of Clans style game between Brightvale and Meridell: This would be SO COOL. You could choose what kingdom would wanna be a part of in the beginning, build your village and help your King against the other villages.

    A Fantasy style game resembling Faerie Quests: A Faerie would come up to you/your pet with a quest and you'd get to navigate around Neopian lands talking to characters, retrieving items and fighting villans in order to complete your quests.

    OLD. PLOTS.: They could bring old site plots back in the form of app games. That would SERIOUSLY make MY DAY. All those plots are already great story lines that they could explore different sides of.

    Something regarding Jelly World: Since it is a "secret" place in neopia, they could make a game, maybe even in the same style of Island Builder, but in Jelly World. That could be very fun, and a way to create something that only exists in the app but that is tied with the cannon.

    And last but not least...

    A Pokémon Go! style game for Neopets!: Yes, I know TNT in not going to invest in something as big as that for now, but just imagine how cool that could be! One can only dream...

    Okay, so this post was really long, but what are your thoughts on this? Do you guys have any other ideas for potentially successful neopets app games?

    finally got back on neopets after not touching it since 2017 briefly in college, and then before that in like high school for a few months, and before that like.... middle/elementary school?

    Haven't seen anything on here about it. I only found out about it on JN. Wouldn't want anyone to miss out!

    EDIT: This CAN be redeemed on side accounts as it only awards a NC item (and +5 hit points for the pet that eats it). I'm not sure if it is still available as I've already claimed it, but right as you log in you should see a pic with a cupcake that says redeem now or you can go into the NC mall and it should be under the new items available. Once you click redeem it should show up in your inventory.

    After almost giving up many times because I find this game pretty boring, I did it!!! Got the NQ1 avatar!! Erick does not have a pleasant image for the eyes but I like his tones of pink, purple and yellow because it matches my pet xD

    I'm taking a break to get into NQ2 (I don't plan to finish NQ1, just made it until I could get avatar), how many time did you guys spent to get both avatars of NQ2?? And to the people who don't enjoy rpg and stuff like me: is NQ2 more boring than NQ1?

    How do you decide your pet goals?

    This is kind of a weird question, I know.

    But as an older player who returned relatively recently, all of the new pet colors and customization options are very overwhelming. I'm trying to decide what (achievable) pet goals I want. I don't care to actually dress my pet and a lot of the converted colors/pets just don't speak to me (yes, I'm still bitter).

    I have site goals which are to earn as many NPs as possible and increase my avvie count, but my pets are kind of just sitting there. I don't really want to spend too much NP right now so this is more for an end goal kind of situation.

    So, how do you decide what interests you when there's so many options? Just go through all of the pets and colors at jellyneo? Look at other peoples pets for inspiration? My main account is ralphie10790 and I have done a little (and so did a hacker who got me a draik somehow?) but I have 4 sides worth of pets I created/adopted with no plans except to lab them.

    Any advice is appreciated! :)
