    If you have Chrome: get Tampermonkey to use it! Greasemonkey for Firefox, and I'm unsure about other browsers.

    For software developers: How bad do you think neopets code is?

    We all agree neopets is a mess. Everytime they do something they mess up a bunch of other things. Thinking about it makes me wonder if is because tnt developers are bad developers or because the code itself is horrible or both.

    My perception is that if we were able to see the base/source code upon neopets is build it would probably be ancient with patch over patch over patch and so on. Which means that probably any change you do in any part that is old enough creates a lot of damage in each patch.

    This makes me thing that actually fixed neopets most likely would mean to rewrite it but this would need a lot of time and resources than what the real owners of neopets are probably wanting to spend. Pretty sure that even if we take neopets serious, the owners still see it as nothing else than a children page that makes some money...

    As sofware developers have you ever experiences something like this? have you ever worked with a code so old and so patched that anything you do messes up a lot of other stuff? and if you did how did you or/and your partners deal with it?

    Been on Neopets 19 and a half years and never really went through my SDB. I've never done a Charity Corner, and I get why people are upset at the changes, but I love cleaning this stuff out!

    I'm selling the few things that are worth it, keeping the things I like, but chucking all of the various items I've accumulated from Advent Calendars, etc. Basically, if it doesn't spark joy, is ugly, or I have no clue why I have it, it goes.

    One thing: damn, Neopets, why so many Dung and Snot items?! Ugh.

    Sometimes I hate the couples rule on neo because these 2 opposite poogles would make a good couple haha. Very happy with the drawing of them and their matching petpets someone made for me ❤. (see their customs in my previous post)

    Ok so here's the series of events lol.

    As a kid, I LOVED Poogles, but never got one. I'm sure many people can relate.
    When I rejoined the site and found out how cheap poogle morphing potions are, I quickly turned my Uni into one. I was happy with the choice for a little bit, but the problem is the pet just didn't feel like a Poogle. I'd chosen the name to suit a blue Uni, it's got Sapphire in it. The only blue Poogle color I liked well enough was cloud, and while I was happy with this for a while I kinda don't like what cloud does to a poogle's eyes.
    Anyway when I saw that I could make a Poogle today, I just knew I had to do it.
    So I did, and I chose a name with the word Amethyst in it.
    Then I decided I just had to splurge to get my Uni back, and got a faerie uni morphing potion.
    As soon as I changed it, I was just so happy with the descision.
    I wasted a fair amount of np thinking I wanted to change it into a poogle, but it's not a huge deal, I'm happy to finally have things how I like it.
    I'll probably make my poogle Faerie too someday, and hopefully get it a nice petpet.

    It's funny how great it feels to fulfill these childhood goals.

    I painted my cow strawberry and she’s so cute!!I love these boots and there’s a hat that goes with it but I haven’t bought it yet because it’s kinda pricey lol if anyone else has a kau I would love to see!! I really like the dimensional and Halloween colors on them as well!
