    Access Denied Support Thread

    As of September 3rd, 2020, TNT has upped their StackPath game and it's been affecting pretty much everyone's daily playability. This was probably implemented for Charity Corner coming up, but yeah, this is awkward.

    FAQ:

    Q: Did I do something wrong? Am I in trouble? WHAT IS THIS EVEN?

    A: Most likely not and you should be fine. StackPath is a security feature that's duty is to prevent bots, but it can be weird sometimes. Just read the following instructions below and it'll guide you on how to return back to the site!

    Q: How do I return back to the site?

    A: You would want to clear your cookies on the site.

    1) Click the Lock icon in the top left corner, next to the address (URL) bar.

    2) Click the Cookie icon and under Allowed, there should be a file that says "neopets.com".

    3) Under "neopets.com", go under the Cookies folder, and find the cookie that says "npuid"

    4) Just remove "npuid" and your StackPath block should be gone!

    Note: This way should still keep you logged in, but if it does not work, remove the whole "neopets.com" file (this will log you off afterwards).

    1) In the upper right-hand corner of the browser, click the "menu bars," which look like three parallel lines, and click the "Preferences" tab.

    2) Go to "Privacy and Security" and under "Cookies and Site Data," click "Manage Data"

    3) Search for "neopets.com" and remove that entirely to return back to the site.

    Note: You will be logged out afterwards.

    1) Select "Preferences" from the dropdown Safari menu.

    2) Go to "Privacy" and click "Manage Website Data."

    3) Search for "neopets.com" and remove that entirely to return back to the site.

    Note: You will be logged out afterwards.

    • For Other Browsers:

    Look up how to delete cookies for the said web browser. Find and delete the cookie that says "neopets.com" to return back to the site.

    Q: Can't I just use Incognito Mode?

    A: You can yeah, but you can still get hit by StackPath in Incognito Mode if I'm getting my information correctly.

    Q: I'm still having problems with the site over this thing.

    A: Post your problem here to see if someone might know what you need to do. If the problem continues to persist, then I'd recommend sending a ticket to TNT (email to support@neopets.com).

    I feel like so many of the recent posts are about this, and people are posting screenshots with their IPs in them, so maybe we should have a pinned post about what this is and how to fix it?

    (On chrome, what I do is click in the URL bar where you usually do to enable flash. Then, click clear cookies and clear out all your neopets ones. You'll be logged out, but just log back in and it'll be fixed.)

    So I have been introduced to the idea of shopkeeping for the simple joy of keeping a themed shop and curating a collection instead of just selling your random crap. I think this sounds lovely and relaxing and a new way to enjoy the site so I have been dabbling in creating a "cafe", and restocking from the bakery and coffee shops has been so fun, I love all the cute drinks and food! The problem is...I have been making almost no money. I realize this is different than the usual restocking where you wait for rare items to sell at a high price so I am not expecting to get rich off this but it would be nice to make at least something to feel like it is worth the time I put in it. Are there any tips on keeping a shop like this or is it just given that you will not make or even lose money? Where do you get the bulk of the stock you keep for your specialty store? Any thoughts appreciated! :)

    I've seen an inflation in hype around an event I've never heard of, including people stocking up a lot? I stopped playing Neo in 2013 and am just back after years, still trying to build back up and all. I'm quite confused about this event, can anyone clarify? :)

    I just started playing again (today) and recently joined this subreddit. I usually don't talk to anybody when I used to play neopets. Never joined forums or other communities. So now I am completely lost on all the acronyms being used here in the sub. I feel like I'm constantly decoding something lol.

    I've figured out some by context clues like CC and UN. But there are still a lot I don't understand like AC, UC, etc.
