Honestly, I bought all of them for the code as a gift to me for the Holiday season. There are 2 pins that don't really fit into my pin board collection (ona, weewoo) and I thought it might be nice to share them with some people that would appreciate them. I don't see anything against an actual giveaway in the rules, but if I'm wrong please correct me so I can take down this post. (I like being in this subreddit)

For those who are unfamiliar:

Hypertext transfer protocol secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, which is the primary protocol used to send data between a web browser and a website. HTTPS is encrypted in order to increase security of data transfer. This is particularly important when users transmit sensitive data, such as by logging into a bank account, email service, or health insurance provider.

Any website, especially those that require login credentials, should use HTTPS. In modern web browsers such as Chrome, websites that do not use HTTPS are marked differently than those that are. Look for a green padlock in the URL bar to signify the webpage is secure. Web browsers take HTTPS seriously; Google Chrome and other browsers flag all non-HTTPS websites as not secure.

Basically, this means data sent to and from the servers are not encrypted and it's not a secure connection. ~~I am not sure if the payment pages are still encrypted, as I haven't tried to purchase something on the website in a while, but this is something to be aware of for your own safety.~~

~~If the pages that take payment details are not on SSL, that means your payment info will be sent unencrypted across the internet, putting your info at risk of being compromised.~~ There is already a risk with your login info itself (your username/password are currently being sent unencrypted when you login since the HTTPS is broken), though ofc it is more serious when credit card info or other private/personal information is involved. More hackers are interested in that than your Neo password. Hopefully Neopets fixes this soon.

EDIT: Was told the NC Mall and payment pages are on SSL - thank god haha, that's a relief. Still, I'd use caution since login details are still on non-HTTPS pages as far as I can tell.

I've been wondering, Faerieland used to be this fantastical kingdom in the clouds but now it's just this lush mountain glade area. Was this part of some sort of event that took place a while back that I missed or was it just a change in art direction?

LGBT+ Inclusion After All These Years

Oh man I just about had a heart attack. For no real reason I was thinking about Flash being completely shut down on the 31st and I realized: "WHAT ABOUT NEOPETS? It's almost ENTIRELY FLASH 🙀🙀🙀"

So I did some panic research and apparently neopets is doing their best to convert things as quickly as they can though some games might be lost forever. They promise that everyone's accounts and pets will be safe and they're doing everything they can. I'm so happy that after all these years Neopets is still plugging along.

And thanks to this research I also found out that as of this week LGBT+ discussion/mention is no longer prohibited on neopets. 😭💖😭

Though I, as a 29 year-old man, do not feel comfortable using the forums as it is a space meant for children it means so much to me to know that Neopets has taken such a huge stride towards inclusiveness. It's so important to me that LGBT+ kids and teens will be able to talk about themselves and those topics in such a safe, wholesome space. It almost made me cry thinking about it.

Idk if this is against the rules and I'm curious to know...do people do art commissions and userlookup requests outside of Neopets? Like if you commission a designer that you really like to draw your Neopets or make you a userlookup etc. What do the official Neo rules say about this?
