    Hello everyone! As you might have heard from recent news, a security engineer (or hacker, if you will) gave Neopets an unsolicited security audit and found some security holes. TNT patched them pretty quickly and made an editorial response today.

    TL;DR:

    • Change your passwords (and pins). You should change your password/pin every 4-6 months or so.

    • Never use the same password for multiple services/websites.

    • Use a password manager, and use randomized passwords. If you can remember your password, you have a bad password.

    How To Change Your Password/Pin/E-Mail On Neopets

    Passwords:

    1. Click the "My Account" tab in the top left corner, and click "Modify Account Information" (or you could click over to Edit Profile from the drop-down).

    2. Find "Current Password" and type in your present password, then enter your new password in the following two text boxes, New Password and Confirm Password.

    3. Once you are done, scroll down and select the "Change Your Details" box.

    Note: Apparently you can not log in (at least on beta) if your password has a space in it. You can change your password to contain a space, but you cannot log in with it. So, stick to numbers/letters/symbols.

    In the event you forget your new (or current) password for some reason, head over to this link to have a password reset link sent to the e-mail address linked to the account.

    Pins:

    1. Click the "My Account" tab in the top left corner, and click "PIN Preferences."

    2. On the page, you can create a 4-number Neopets PIN. Click the "submit" once you're done.

    3. After that, you may select the locations where you would like a PIN confirmation. You do not have to attach a PIN to every location.

    4. To change (or remove) your PIN or its settings, enter your Neopets PIN and click the "submit" box.

    Note: In the event you forget your new (or current) pin for some reason, scroll below to find this link where the PIN will be sent to the linked e-mail address.

    E-mail:

    1. Click the "My Account" tab in the top left corner, and click "Change Email Address."

    2. You will be provided with the current e-mail linked to the account, and a prompt to change your e-mail. You will need to know your password (and pin) for this.

    3. Once everything has been filled in, hit the "Submit Change" box.

    Note: In the event you are unable to change your e-mail for some reason, send in a support ticket to support@neopets.com and post your ticket number to the Highway to Help thread in the Help NeoBoards.

    Guys, I just can't be bothered anymore. The site has become a disaster. The colours are way too bright and headache inducing (even with Altadorian Constellation it's just so... crowded everywhere.) I'm not interested in customizing my pet or playing games or doing battledomes or whatever the fuck. I was in it for the stocks and economy and now that's gone to shit this week as well.The site is glitchy, ugly, confusing and annoyingly SLOW. I'm not a mobile user. Who the fuck cares about customizing pets if everything is meant to be visible on such a tiny mobile screen? Your active changed into a small circle in the top of your screen so you can't even look for yourself what you've done. And I don't know what they did to the fonts, but it's unreadable for someone with bad eyes. It's all blurry (zoomed in?), not alligned well, and messy. I know it's not a finished product but if I see that this is what they've done in three years then finishing this will probably take a billion years more and probably not even work well then.

    So send me your wishes, darlings. I'm not going to turn this into a whole event or a cringey giveaway where the winners are announced a whole-ass week later. It's first come, first serve. I got 13 mil to give to y'all.If you want pure NP, that's fine too. Just throw some trash in the Trading Post and send a link my way.

    Without the ability to refresh tokens searches the Neocola project got more expensive and harder to complete. We cannot make money very easily either I am upset with the new format.

    I made a New Years resolution to do at least one giveaway a month, and so this is the twelve and final one!

    I adopted a bunch of pets from the pound and can't keep up with all of them. Been training all of them in the Academy for two weeks and want to transfer this purple Gnorbu to somebody with room and will take care of/keep training him. Any takers?

    I currently have 6 pets, 4 of them adopted, but i can't handle all of them and I'm quickly running out of NP every day. Trying to build savings and focus on one battledome buddy. I also have a split Myncii if anyone wants her too.

    First post here so not sure if this is the right place to post something like this. Thanks for any help or new owners that come along. Happy New Year.

    Restocking sucks in the new layout :/

    Usually when you click on an item to buy and the popup window comes up with "Are you sure you want to buy X?" you can just click enter on your keyboard. Now you have to physically press "yes." It's SO annoying and slows me down so much. Is this something they put in place to prevent autobuyers, or is this a glitch that can be remedied? Has anyone found a shortcut for this?

    This is a genuine question. I'm sticking around on neopets, I don't have anything better going on in my life at the moment. But I'm wondering if this is going to make it more difficult to obtain dream painted pets again, like in the early 2000s.

    best species/color for a pet named DisasterGirl?

    i recently fell in love with finding pets with names like this and painting them to match the feel of the name. so far i have a darigan shoyru named artpunk. those wings! that mohawk! 🤘🏼

    i found DisasterGirl recently, which just so happens to be a nickname some of my friends use for me, so i couldn't resist. i'm pretty torn and could use some input - which of these options do you think fits best?
