    I assume most leave their pet at the pound because they won't play anymore, but do you have a story about people who still plays but checks on their old pets? Or maybe people who don't play anymore but every few years they wonder if their Neopet was adopted.

    Close to tears over my shop glitching

    I am so frustrated and upset - my shop glitched while I was pricing items (I think someone bought one of something while I was trying to remove two of them from my shop and I got an error message that said "number does not exist: 2") and somehow it scrambled ALL of my prices and items and I had to frantically try and remove items from my shop to save them. Within one or two minutes of me trying to reset all my stock to 0np to fix it, 20+ items sold and I lost at bare minimum $50,000 or so in profit - and that is only what I know about due to sales history... I have no idea what may have sold under $1,000 that wasn't supposed to. I feel like crying, I've been working so hard to build up my shop and save up every penny for a paintbrush and this set me back at least a day of work on my neopets account.

    Has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm scared to even continue stocking my shop because I wouldn't be able to stand this happening again, especially if my shop was bigger. I tried messaging the two people who bought my 25,000 np books at like 2,300 np to explain the situation and offer them double what they paid if I could have my books back, but they didn't respond.

    I played a lot when I was a teenager, probably the funniest part was creating stories for my pets, applicating to adopt the ones I wanted, drawing fanart, submitting your art to the gallery... It was very wholesome.

    But maybe it's just me but am I the only one who feels the community has become more toxic in general?

    Security breaches, lost accounts, TNT doesn't help much when you have a problem, the boards are kind of empty sometimes, if not they're filled with paranoids who report you for having UCs or RNs, or for having a gallery with expensive items or for literally any reason and you can get frozen with no reason so it discourages me a lot to be active in the forums, Flash is dying and many avies will become impossible to get...

    Maybe I'm just too pesimistic? Or I don't know? What do you think? Sometimes I really want to go back and finish my pages, my goals and get those avies I want and that UC I want too... I just want to hear your opinions, whatever they are so maybe I could see things from another perspective? :')

    Right Round Round Round Boon results

    I just wanted to share my results from spinning way too many wheels this week. I was intrigued by the boon selection this week (yay Brutes) as I made the joke previously that Right Round Round Round was not the boon we wanted, but the boon we needed. As I have all the wheel avatars, it's been sometime since I've spun a majority of these wheels. A bit curious on what I've been missing out on, this seemed like the ideal time to take notes and I wanted to share a bit of those findings. Keep in mind that I'm just one player, and my sample size is pretty small in the grand scheme of things, but with the exception of crazy paint brush wins I don't think too much changes.

    TL:DR - You're not missing much if you skip wheels, though Mediocrity is apparently the best. The Boon: Right Round Round Round was a net negative to my Neopoints total, but a fun way to help pass the week (and probably good if you need wheel avatars).

    A few notes before the stats:

    • I have all the avatars for wheels, so anything related to avatars is a 0 value to me.
    • Wheel of mediocrity is a 40 minute timer. I tried to spin most frequently around the 2 hour time for misfortune and excitement.
    • I didn't use actual timers, as I wasn't looking to hit every single instance of wheel spinning. But with laptop handy I've been trying to hit the wheels when I'm available and at home.

    Initial Impressions:

    • Wheels arn't worth the time and a waste of money.
    • I only spin wheel of extravagance normally and that's what I come across good fortune to have the money to spin.

    Final Impressions:

    • The Boon: Right Round Round Round actually cost me about 42,049 neopoints instead of gaining neopoints. A bit unfair as I did gain some stats.
    • Many of the wheels "feel" good, but results don't support that feeling.
    • Spin Wheel of Mediocrity if it's on your dailies tab, not much can go wrong. Ignore the others unless you need avatars.
    • Wheel of Excitement although a net gain, the pants devil visiting one time is enough to make it not worth the effort. The 2500 spot came up a lot more than I thought when tallying results.
    • Wheel of Extravagance felt like I was getting stats for my money, but didn't feel great during the week. Tallying up this wheel I had a lot more items than I thought, but the cost in the end was still very close. For me I had fun on this wheel, and stats for 75k seems worth it.
    • Wheel of Monotony is the longest way to buy lottery tickets ever. Also a reminder that Neopets has an in-game "screamer" or jump scare.
    • Wheel of Knowledge isn't a bad daily, but whoever put the spin again spot on there is a silly person.
    • Wheel of Misfortune really is just a wheel full of disappointment. Supposedly you could win a Pofew from it, but I never even won a single petpet.

    The Statistics:

    Wheel of Excitement:

    • The wheel was spun 60 times at a cost of 30,000 neopoints. I collected 34,395 neopoints from this wheel for a net gain of 4,395.
    • My pets were given 3 diseases, the Lava Ghoul rained fire down on us 7 times, I was zapped by 2 lightning bolts. Faeries healed by pets 2 times to make up for all of that, along with 2 pointless visits from Faeries (Dark & Light) and another pointless mysterious event space. The pants devil visited us 1 time.
    • I had about 41% spin time on the Wheel of Excitement and Misfortune. I really see no reason to spin it more than I did.

    Wheel of Extravagance:

    • The wheel was spun 14 times at a cost of 1,400,000 neopoints. I collect items and neopoints worth approximately 1,325,000 neopoints for a net loss of 75,000 neopoints. I also however gained 10 Strength, 10 Defense, and 5 Hit Points on my active battledome pet.
    • 5 Spins included neopoints as the prize
    • 3 Spins included stat increases.
    • 2 Secret Laboratory Map Pieces (#2 & #3) was earned.
    • 1 Golden Brightvale Job Coupon was earned.
    • 1 Pirate Paint Brush was earned.
    • 2 Spins of absolutely nothing came up (and both on the same day).
    • All spins accounted for this week.

    Wheel of Knowledge:

    • The wheel of knowledge was spun 18 times at a cost of 5,600 neopoints. Items were earned in the neighborhood of 7,260 neopoints in value for a net gain of 1,660 neopoints.
    • I received 4 free spins.
    • My pets were healed twice.
    • I got a lot of knowledge that Jellyneo already told me for cheat codes.
    • All spins accounted for this week.

    Wheel of Mediocrity:

    • The wheel of mediocrity was spun 84 times at a cost of 8,400 neopoints. Items and Neopoints were earned with an estimated value of 39,255 for a net gain of 30,855 neopoints.
    • I endured 12 rounds of fireballs, 7 swooping Pterodactyl's, and 5 appearances of a Grarrl.
    • I received 2 Tyrannian Petpets.
    • I hit 2000 neopoints 14 times (which is basically the entirety of my net profit).
    • I received 10 Tyrannian Foods and 2 Tyrannian Furniture items most of which had fairly low impact to my earnings, though some food is listed just under 2,000 neopoints.
    • I had approximately 19% spin time on Wheel of Mediocrity. If I really stuck with it and never slept I could have turned that 30k neopoint gain into 150k neopoint gain. I think I'll stick with the sleep.

    Wheel of Misfortune:

    • The wheel was spun 60 times at a cost of 9,000 neopoints. I collected 1,137 neopoints from this wheel for a net loss of 7,863 neopoints.
    • I ensured my active pet was always an illiterate pirate immune to the misfortune's of forgetting past read books.
    • I landed on the sludge space 12 times and can confirm it doesn't seem to do anything. (Thank the maker for that, one of the times I actually had the Gold Brightvale Coupon in my inventory).
    • 7 Visits from the pants devil, which he managed to catch me with my pants down one time to steal my Sloth Faerie Plushie. Otherwise ensured inventory was empty.
    • 4 Diseases given to my neopets.
    • 4 Potentially forgotten books, assuming my active Neopet had read anything.
    • 15 "Gifts" of plushies, ranging from 1 Neopoint to 200 Neopoints in value. 0 Petpet spaces were landed on.
    • I had about 41% spin time on the Wheel of Excitement and Misfortune. I really see no reason to spin it more than I did.

    Wheel of Monotony:

    • Literally still spinning to this day.
    • The wheel has been spun 14 times (with one still going) at a cost of 2,100 neopoints. I collected items and lottery tickets worth approximately 6,004 neopoints for a net gain of 3,904 neopoints.
    • The cost of power to charge my laptop for the hours this wheel was spinning far outweighs any gain I've made in game.
    • 2 Bri Codestones and 1 Raptraphant Leg were awarded as prizes.
    • 5 Lottery Tickets (which I valued at 500 neopoints) were handed out.
    • 3 Visits to the Lair of the Beast and 1 Stop by the Volcano took place.
    • 1 Rock smashed my Neopets health.
