If you have Chrome: get Tampermonkey to use it! Greasemonkey for Firefox, and I'm unsure about other browsers.

Guild Council Question

I've run into a problem with the guild I'm a part of. It is a Neopets Book Club Guild, focused more on real book reading not in-game books. Over the years the activity has slowed down but not completely died off. I have earned the second spot on the guild council years ago, but now I am the only guild council member that's been active for a year. My abilities (I believe) are limited because I am not the leader of the guild, only second in charge. There is interest in keeping the club running, and I'd love to promote members to council positions but I cannot (I believe?) and the guild leader as stated before has been gone for 259 days. Any advice on what I can do? I've tried contacting the leader but gotten no response, I have considered a guild jump where I am the leader but that'd leave a lot of members who aren't as active sort of lost when they return. Is there a solution to this, or should I just continue half-managing from the position I'm in in hopes of the leader returning?

TL;DR: I'm in a guild council position with limited ability to run the guild on my own, all other leaders are and have been gone for a long time. How do I work this out?
