| Petition to change the "9th item" boon to "Additional BD prizes" Posted: 30 Jun 2020 10:31 AM PDT For those who are unaware, one the possible boons you can choose from after gaining control of the Obelisk with the Brutes (or the Awakened) is "Equip ALL THE THINGS". What it does is allow you to use a 9th weapon in the Battledome, for PvE or PvP. While incorporating an additional weapon can have some merits, it doesn't really measure up to all the other options you have as a Brute. Doppelgänger is probably worst, but at at least have meme potential with Chia or Kacheek Flour (assuming you get to keep the item afterwards). As a "Sighnature Boon", it feels pretty lackluster. The conversation of what boon to choose last week was either Right Round Round Round or Scratch Master, which are shared by at least one other faction. So why more BD prizes as an alternative? It's a function use to increase wealth not extended with a boon. Shop restocking has 2 (Five Finger Discount so-so and the infamous Black Market Goods which most definately helps), Banking have "Bank Bribery, Stock have "Cheaper by the Dozen", Premuim users have "Premium Dreamium" for flash games. Finally, we have " Cartogriphication" which always result in a net postivie when active, and finally the aforementioned "Right Round Round Round" and "Scratch Master" for potential gains. Battledome can require a lot of funds and time to set up as a profitable endeavor, especailly if you want to tackle harder foes (for example: Plumbeard on Hard exclusively drop items over 6k neopoints). I think that having a boon that rewards those that put much more effort into training would be pretty cool. So what should it do, and be called?: I have two-and-a-half ideas. First is simply increase the items and NP gain each day by a ceratin amount. 20% or 33.33% seem alright (+300NP/3 items and +500/5 items respectively). My second idea is have a certain percentage chance receiving NP or another item after reach the maximum, say 60%. Finally, my "half idea" isn't an increase of items gain, but after a Battledome PvE win, you are given a selection of possible items to choose from, thus increasing your odds of getting what you want *coughs* Chocolate Ice Cream *coughs* *Armoured Negg* *coughs* Nerkmids. (pardon me) Now as for what it would be called... I have no clue. Honestly I'm not clever enough to come up with a cool name. I'm up for suggestions though. If you are in agreement, leave a like. Obviously, not much we can do here(for established reasons), but if this receives enough traction, maybe it wouldn't be to outlandish to advocate it on the site. Also comment your thoughts below! I've noticed a number of people questioning, "how do we find out how old the pet I might want to adopt is??" Well, by accident I discovered this: On most pet's pages (~NOT~ their profiles!!), it lists their age in hours/days. From there, you just punch that into a birthday calculator (like the one on sunnyneo), and BAM! You now have the age and birthdate of your potential adoptee 💞 This may seem like a redundant bit of info for long-time-actives, but maybe it'll help new folks and recent returnees who got used to pets in the pound showing age (: [link] [comments] | ||
