Greasemonkey for Firefox, and I'm unsure about other browsers. Betelgeuse (my zombie Kyrii) had a food quest for the Esophagor. He delivered the food items on time and the Esophagor rewarded him with...coloured tips! I looked at the reward item with interest; it resembled an upside-down rose. Could it be a pack of sharpies? I clicked on the coloured tips and the description said it was a grooming item. Well Betelgeuse had worked hard for them so it was only fair he got to be groomed with them. He was very happy and thanked me, because he had had a bad fur day. I used the coloured tips to groom Betelgeuse a few times before curiousity got the better of me and I Googled them. Were they just a Neopets item or a real world item... Coloured tips are real and apparently, I've spent the last couple of days painting my zombie Kyrii's nails for him! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 18 Oct 2020 08:46 PM PDT in my never ending quest to discover the often bizarre history of this game, i came across what is quite likely the most DIABOLICAL item in the entire game. the eraser of the dark faerie this item PERMANENTLY deletes a random item equipped to an opponents pet when used against them. like... no joke. thats what it does. it straight up deletes an item from existence. its gone. forever. i have many reactions to learning of this item, but my main take away is "WHAT THE EVER LOVING HELL WERE THEY THINKING RELEASING THIS THING?!?!?!?!" i've read reports that this abomination was only available in the hidden tower for less than a single day, which means that there likely werent that many of them sold to begin with, and THANKFULLY its a single use item that disappears after its used, so one has to imagine that there are fewer of them than what were originally sold. so all of this has me wondering a few things:
if you own one of these, i would like to humbly ask that you destroy it. such power should not be wielded by anyone. and if you've ever been on the receiving end of one of these, what was your reaction? what did you lose? who use it on you? i'd love to hear the horror stories that resulted from this thing being unleashed upon neopia. I'm a pretty sporadic player, I spend a few weeks/months at a time addicted to this website then ban myself for the next 3 years so miss a lot that goes on. I recently started playing Battledome so am researching good value mid-tier weapons and nearly cried when I discovered that if I'd just done this a year ago I could have had it for 1/5 of its current price. Was there some specific event that created a demand for this weapon that will eventually subside or is this just the price now? [link] [comments] | ||
